Violet is an active, fun-loving kitty who's VERY food motivated. She came to LAWS with a strong apprehension about humans in general, but quickly learned that we provide, food, comfort, safety... and we make playtime so much more fun; balls and mousey toys are her favorite! She's cautious about new people and environments, but with a little encouragement, she warms up quickly. She's comfortable with being picked up and held, but prefers to hang out nearby while you go about your day. Violet immediately took to her foster cat siblings, and can warm up to dogs with a slow introduction.

Violet is a dilute gray tabby with white boots and occasional white stripes. Her adorable pink lower lip makes her look like she has a perma-blep and a constant smile on her face. She has the most adorable meewpy meow, which she uses to ask you to "hurry up with the foodz pleaze!" (see video). She's a healthy average sized kitty. Violet would do best as an addition to your existing fur family, but would be A-OK as a solo kitty with a reasonable amount of human attention. She likes people just fine, but she LOVES other kitties.

At Laramie Animal Welfare Society, the first step to adoption is completing an adoption application on our website www.laramieanimals.org. Once submitted, your application will be reviewed by our adoption team which typically takes 7+ days.  Keep in mind, the animal you’re interested in when applying may be adopted and no longer available by the time your application is approved. We do not place animals on hold.   Pending approval, your application is valid for 6 months. Also pending approval, you will receive contact information, so that you may inquire about the personalities of specific animals. Adoptions for individual animals will occur by private adoption appointment. Because we are 100% foster-based, appointments are scheduled pending staff, foster home, and vetting schedules.  Should you want to proceed with the adoption, a brief appointment will occur at our adoption center to sign adoption paperwork, receive medical records, and pay the adoption fee.

**Dog/Puppy applications -  Because of the large volume of dog/puppy applications we are receiving these applications may take longer to process, please be patient. We do not do first come first serve but we place the dog/puppy in the best suited home. If you have questions about the Dog/Puppy process please email lawsdogprogram@gmail.com**
