Happy Tail: Uno Was Adopted!

Be the One to Change Uno’s Luck

Fearless in Befriending People and Dogs Alike

Life has dealt Uno several bad hands, but his upbeat and outgoing attitude never wavers. He came to LAWS in December when he followed a LAWS volunteer and her dog on their way home. He was in bad shape and thought to have been hit by a car. His right eye was prolapsed, his jaw was broken and dislocated, and he was starving. Regardless, Uno was uniquely sweet and friendly. He was fearless in befriending people and dogs alike, and he still purred and craved attention.

He Suffered for Several Days

Uno was taken to Gem City Vet where his prolapsed eye was removed, jaw was set and wired, and a feeding tube was placed. Judging by his emaciated condition and state of injuries, Uno must have suffered for several days. While at Gem City Vet, he tested positive for Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV). Thus, he needs to be an indoor kitty and likely the only cat in the home. Today, Uno is completely recovered from his injuries, has gained about three pounds, and is ready for his new forever home!
